John Lennon Memorial Newspaper and George Harrison Memorial Time Magazine
This auction lot includes two publications announcing the death of Beatles John Lennon
and George Harrison, respectively.
• December 9, 1980 edition of San Diego Evening Tribune with headline "Lennon Slain"
• December 10, 2001 edition of Time magazine with George Harrison on the cover
The newspaper is in excellent, aged condition with a news stand fold. This is the first
section of the newspaper (not the entire newspaper) and includes section "A" stories
about the murder, and stories about Lennon and the Beatles.
The Time magazine has a couple of condition issues, with a stain spot under the
"T" of "Time", as well as some edge wear.
These items come from a smoke-free home.
