John Lennon 1978 Signed/Illustration Early Promotional 9x12 Pin-Up Poster
This early promotional photo was signed for a fan outside of the Dakota Building in New York in 1978. The Dakota Building is where John Lennon and Yoko Ono lived at that time in New York. John Lennon loved living in New York and was a part of the New York scene and prided himself on being able to have an ordinary existence and blend into the city like every other New Yorker. This is a good example of how easy it would often be to bump into him as a regular guy, and not as the legend that the world has known him to be.
The poster itself is complete as you see it with only some minor yellowing and and tape wear on the reverse side.
Signature is clean and features his personal "face with glasses" self-portrait caricature drawing, which is relatively rare.
