Colonel Bjorgen was a career pilot who began flying P-51s in 1943 and ended his career commanding a specialized unit that supported the National Capital Region during the Nixon administration. In the photograph (14 5/8" x 11 1/4"), Colonel "BJ" is standing to the far right. The certificates related to the B-47 Bomber airframe are of particular significance, as the B-47 was the SAC mainstay during the Cold War.
