The item is in usable condition. It was removed from a compressor that was still running and always kept indoors.
The Connecting Rod is an obsolete item no longer available from the manufacturer, but a different part number connecting rod is offered as a serviceable replacement. However, the new part number rod is narrower than the original.
The piston and rings are not usable but left to keep the wrist pin with the rod. The rings are considered past their service life, as the compressor was using an excessive amount of oil. Note that the piston was damaged by a screw coming loose from the reed valves and breaking a hole through the top of the piston. The piston was repaired with epoxy and used for a short time before the compressor pump was replaced. One picture shows the epoxy repair on top of the piston, and another picture shows where the crack in the piston came through the bottom of the piston.
